Boycott ABC on 9/11!
I have just read a very disturbing review concerning the upcoming ABC miniseries "The Path to 9/11", and in light of this I am heartily encouraging everyone to not only boycott the watching of this show and network on "Patriot Day", but for them to please spread the word to others as well.

Apparently this bit of right-wing conservative fluff plans to make sure the entire 9/11 debacle is blamed solely on The Clinton Administration. Yes, you read that right. The Bush crew had *nothing* to do with it and had *no* idea it was coming, and it's all Bill Clinton's fault. To which I call extreme and utter bullshit.

Visit Truthout.org for a very enlightening report by professor and author William Rivers Pitt entitled Clinton, 9-11 and the Facts, and spread the word. After 5 years of lies and propaganda, it's time we let them know we're not interested in their distortions anymore.

I guess I already boycott ABC... :) Nothin' worth watching on there.
Can I cut and post this entire blog entry (with credit/link back here) to my own blog to move the word along?

Mad props for the head's up on this. Grrr...

By all means, feel free to do so.

I just checked the Internet Movie Database (www.IMDB.com) about this series and already anyone that posts on the message board in critique is treated as one of the "aluminum beanie club" for dissenting.

The neo-con crew are going to be pimping this all they can in the run up to the day, so it's all the more important we spread the word now.

Makes me want to go watch V for Vendetta again... :)

Hi there. I found a link to your post here. I'm not quite sure what I think about this whole thing. Just so you know, I work for an ABC affiliate, but we are not owned by ABC itself. We've had a few calls complaining about the content of this program. I have a screener copy on my desk, and I really want to view it before I make any opinions. I've read a lot of things about the program on the internet, but I've found it's best not to take any of that as solid truth.

Anyway, boycotting ABC on the day of the program probably won't have the impact you are looking for. I would suggest that you actually watch the program, and then afterward contact ABC (not your local station-- there is almost nothing that they can do about it) and voice your displeasure. If enough people do that, ABC will have to reconsider its future actions.

I intend to boycott ABC and it's affiliates all of whom can be found on Daily Kos BOYCOTT. A 2 week boycott is not enough. I intend to boycott indefinately. The fact that ABC would promote such propaganda tells me that it is not a station that I can support in any way, shape or form. I also intend to boycott it's advertisers. These are desperate times for the repugs and as I have predicted, they will resort to their usual tactics: lies, distortions, slander, fraud - just to name a few and ABC has shown that it is willing to be their partner in crime! I have e-mails and websites out to friends in just about every state in the nation. This is going to explode in ABC's ugly face for months and months, if not years, to come.

I am watching the program, gritting my teeth and bearing it, but could you please tell me how to contact ABC afterwards to express my displeasure and intention to boycot them? Not only has the first part of the program shown it's conservative bias and hatred of Clinton, it is also hard to watch because it is a poorly made film, disorganized and boring for the most part.
Thanks.

My suggestion would be to go to ABC.com and find out the name of your local affiliate to contact, if not to the network directly. I expect they're getting quite an earful tonight.
